Strategic Plan 2025-2030 Working Group: call for expressions of interest

April 22, 2024

With the current Algonquin College Strategic Plan concluding in 2025, the College is embarking on the development of a new strategic plan that is intended to provide a bold vision and direction for the College in a time of challenging environmental factors and increasing competition. This initiative gives the College an opportunity to strategically position the institution with clarity and situate us for future success.

The Office of Strategy and Planning is looking for motivated and collaborative Algonquin College employees (faculty, support staff and administrative staff) to participate in the development of a new strategic plan for the College, with support from our professional services partner. Membership will be selected to provide broad representation across employee groups, departments and experiences.

We are asking interested individuals to self-nominate by completing the form below by end of day on May 6, 2024:

The Strategic Plan Working Group is tasked with guiding the development of the next strategic plan, under the leadership of the Office of Strategy and Planning and in conjunction with the executive sponsor (Vice President, Advancement and Strategy). This would include ensuring the outcomes of engagement activities are met, reviewing data collected, identifying common themes and potential focal areas and exploring strategic choices to develop organizational directions. With support from our professional services partner, the Working Group is tasked with translating what is heard from the community into a strategic plan to be considered for approval by the Board of Governors.

The Working Group will begin in June 2024 and follow a biweekly meeting schedule. The commitment for participation will be until June 2025.
